Please remember that your wedding is taking place in a church. Therefore, when you select attire for yourself and your bridal party, please dress modestly and appropriately. Brides wearing off-the-shoulder dresses, etc. should wear a shawl during the wedding ceremony.

THROWING OF RICE, ETC.
Throwing of rice, confetti, flower petals, birdseed, etc., IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Insurance regulations are very strict on this matter. Should any injury occur, YOU could become part of a liability suit. In addition, if this rule is violated, janitorial costs will be assessed to the bridal couple, so please inform your guests.

CHAMPAGNE TOASTS
The serving of liquor in front of the church is inappropriate and not permitted. Kindly reserve champagne toasts for the wedding reception. Please be sure to notify your limousine service of this policy.

PHOTOGRAPHY
A marriage is a sacred and religious ceremony. Therefore, no pictures are to be taken during the main part of the Nuptial Mass and photographers are not permitted to come within the Altar area (sanctuary) to take pictures. We do allow pictures to be taken during the ceremony provided the photographer is respectful of the religious aspects of the ceremony and does not distract the priest, the couple or guests by constantly walking back and forth. We do allow video taping provided the videographer does not enter the sanctuary or use intrusive lights and equipment.

AFTER THE WEDDING
Please contact the parish office if you plan to continue your membership at Christ the Redeemer Parish. We will need to update your parish census record as well as make any necessary changes in your address and phone number.

These policies are not in place as barriers. They have been established simply to help reduce the guesswork and confusion that can arise in the planning of such an important ceremony.

Adherence to these policies and getting the answers to your questions up front will enhance your overall experience. Please contact the parish office at 908-725-0072.

PRAYER INTENTIONS OF THE HOLY FATHER ENTRUSTED TO THE APOSTLESHIP OF PRAYER FOR THE YEAR 2017

APRIL

Young People.
That young people may respond generously to their vocations and seriously consider offering themselves to God in the priesthood or consecrated life.

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

HAPPY EASTER dear Friends!
With our celebration of Easter, we proclaim “Christ is risen,” and call each other and the world to renew our hope. That call to hope is actually a very daring invitation. Who are we, then, to proclaim hope? How do we dare to say that there is a reason for hope? Our response is simple, and our conviction is firm. We have come to know Jesus, the Risen Christ. We have come to know Jesus in his word and in his sacraments. We have known him in each other, in the faces of those whom we love and in the faces of the poor and marginalized. Our knowledge of him has brought us before his cross on which he destroyed sin and death. Our knowledge of him has brought us to stand before him as the Risen One who breathes the new life of the Spirit into those who believe in him.
We dare to hope, because the eternal Word of God dared to take our flesh and passed through death to new and glorious life. He opened the way for us to embrace eternal life. And so we dare to hope and, even more, dare to share that hope with a wounded struggling world.
Let us continue to grow in love for the Lord every day and pray for one another as we together journey to an ever deeper faith and reawaken faith in those whose faith is in slumber.  May our faith and confidence in the Risen Christ will bless this world with the renewed hope that it desperately needs.
In the Risen Lord Jesus,

Our God is a God of justice, but also a God of mercy. Through the blood of Jesus, God's mercy is available to us now. It is up to us to decide to accept it. We don't want to be camping out in "Sin Forest" when judgment time comes.
